The shooting happened at 8:35 a.m. on the 1000 block of Hunt Terrace.
Arriving officers found a 22-year-old man in the rear of a home lying face down having suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center in critical condition.
The gunman, said to be in his twenties, was seen fleeing the scene in a light blue or light grey Ford Taurus with tinted windows.
