Report Card Freebies

June 3, 2013

Devon Weaver, the blogger behind Mama Cheaps, says, "Good grades are a reward in themselves, says the former teacher, but it's still fun to go out and have an incentive to work towards or to get a reward for a job well done."

Weaver has just updated her list of Report Card Freebies for the 2013 school year.

These are freebies that retailers, restaurants and entertainment venues give out in exchange for A's -- or their equivalent -- on report card.

Weaver explains, "Don't be discouraged if your child's school doesn't follow a traditional grading format."

She says "E's" for Excellent or "O's" for Outstanding will also count.

Chuck E. Cheese rewards good grades with ten free tokens.

At Pizza Hut, elementary and middle-school students with at least three A's can get a free personal pan pizza and small milk.

And at Chik-Fil-A, they're offering free 8-piece nugget meals.

There are also discounts for good grades at some local mini-golf courses, and portrait studios. Locally, Down to Earth Cafe in Perkasie, Pa., is offering a free smoothie with good grades and Lens Friends in Huntingdon Valley, Pa., will take $5 off a studio session with that great report card.

Just be sure to check with your local business before you go to make sure they're taking part.

She says, "You always want to call before heading out to avoid disappointment. The last thing you want is a disappointed kid!"
