Injuries in Gloucester Township ambulance crash

GLOUCESTER TWP., N.J. - May 30, 2013

At approximately 7:28 p.m. Thursday, Gloucester Township police responded to Davistown Road for a report of a crash involving an ambulance and a car.

Police say the car was exiting a private driveway and entered the roadway in front of a Gloucester Township E.M.S. Ambulance causing the ambulance to strike the vehicle.

The ambulance was transporting a patient to a local hospital at the time of the crash; the patient was not injured in the crash.

Three ambulance crew members and the driver of the vehicle were transported to local hospitals for minor injuries.

The roadway was closed for approximately 45 minutes during the crash investigation.

No charges have been filed at this time.
