Family dog saves 4 in Pennsauken house fire

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - June 1, 2013

Investigators say the family dog woke up the residents sleeping in their home on the 1700 block of 46th Street just after 3:00 a.m. Saturday.

Flames broke out in a second floor bedroom and quickly swept across the entire second floor before firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control.

The family escaped uninjured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
