2 teenagers rescued from Pennypack Creek in Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA - June 3, 2013

It happened at 5:00 p.m. Monday.

The fire department was called to the creek near the intersection of Benton and Bustleton Avenues.

Police say a teenage boy and a teenage girl somehow ended up in the creek.

Reports from the scene indicated they were clinging to a rock before they were rescued.

Images from Chopper 6 HD showed numerous police and rescue units on the scene.

The teens were both taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children to be evaluated.
