Authorities say 69-year-old Glen Brunken fell at the shop in downtown Slippery Rock about noon Monday and severely cut his neck. He was semi-conscious when paramedics arrived and was later flown to a Pittsburgh hospital and pronounced dead there.
Brunken taught at Slippery Rock University from 1969 to 2009, when he retired.
The accident is under investigation.
