Police say the single vehicle crash happened near the Girard Avenue exit on the eastbound side of I-76 just before 5:00 a.m.
Police believe the driver lost control of the car before it flipped over.
Firefighters had to remove the driver from the vehicle.
She was taken to Hahnemann Hospital where she is listed in serious condition.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
