The brazen attempted break-ins happened Tuesday afternoon in Muhlenberg Township.
Mike Himmelberger called 911 when he spotted the homeless man trying to get inside houses on the 4700 block of Kutztown Road.
Then, Mike and his wife followed the suspect, until police arrived.
"Something told me and something told my wife, he wasn't supposed to be doing what he was doing," Himmelberger said.
Luis Otero-Gonzalez faces numerous charges including criminal trespass.
His bail has been set at $25,000.
