A plane carrying former President George W. Bush from Philadelphia was diverted overnight.

Bush was on a private jet scheduled to fly to Dallas, Texas.

However, the pilot reportedly smelled smoke in the cockpit and made an unscheduled landing in Louisville, Kentucky.

The plane landed safely and everyone onboard was fine.

The former president eventually made it back to Texas.

There was no immediate word on what caused the smell of smoke.
