Philadelphia police seek suspect in broad daylight shooting

PHILADELPHIA - June 21, 2013

The shooting happened at 1:30 p.m. at the corner of Lawrence and Huntingdon Streets.

Investigators say the victim was approached by the suspect, and the two engaged in a brief conversation.

The suspect then pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

The victim tried to run away, but fell to the ground as the suspect shot him several more times.

The gunman then fled west on Huntingdon Street.

The victim survived the shooting.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30 to 35 years old, 5'8" to 5'10" tall with a short mustache and goatee. He was wearing dark jeans, a black jacket and red or maroon sneakers.
