Photo shoot rescue caught on camera

none
On the banks of the Wissahickon Creek in Fairmount Park Saturday, 30-year-old Becki Salmon and 33-year-old Matt Werner of Andorra spent 3 hours trying to get the perfect engagement photos. But seconds after one particular snapshot, a little boy behind them stepped into the waters and began struggling to get back to the surface. Before her fiance and photographer could even make a move, Becki jumped into the creek fully clothed and brought the 5-year-old back to shore, reuniting him with his mother. The man behind the camera, Wyndmoor, Montgomery County photographer Ken Beerger, captured images of the dramatic rescue. By the way, Becki just happens to be a trained lifeguard and a paramedic in Montgomery County. Her fiance is an EMT and the photographer is also a paramedic.
