It happened around 8:40 Friday morning on the 300 block of North Shipley Street.
Officers received a call and arrived to find the victim, in her 30s, inside a home suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was rushed to Christiana Hospital in critical condition. On Friday afternoon, she was reported to be in surgery.
No word on any suspects at this time.
