Armed man robs Germantown GameStop of iPad

GERMANTOWN - July 16, 2013

The robbery occurred Sunday at 11:20 a.m. at the GameStop on the 5300 block of Chew Avenue.

Police say the suspect entered the store and asked about an iPad.

After confirming that the iPad was in stock, the suspect stated he would return with the money to purchase the item.

After returning, and during the transaction, police say the suspect pulled a handgun demanding the iPad.

After taking the iPad, the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Authorities describe the suspect as a black male, in his late teens to early 20s, 5'10 tall, thin build, dark complexion, with a thin mustache and goatee.

He was wearing a red baseball cap with a logo on the front, royal blue Nike t-shirt, blue denim shorts, white socks pulled up to his knees with a dark colored stripe down the back.

Police have released surveillance video of the incident.
