It happened at 6:23 a.m. at the Express Tire shop on North 6th Street and Roosevelt Bouelvard.
Authorities say one of the suspects walked in and demanded money while the second suspect stood watch.
A few seconds later, the worker and the first suspect began to struggle outside.
That's when police say the second man pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the leg.
The men ran off without getting any money.
