Missing puppy, Lola, reunited with family

BOOTHWYN, Pa. - September 6, 2013

Police in Upper Chichester gave Lola to the rightful owner, Natalie Morgan, late Thursday night.

The 9-week-old Shih Tzu had been missing for two days.

Another family picked up the dog, after she jumped out of Morgan's van at a Boothwyn gas station.

Morgan says she didn't realize the dog was missing until she got to her sister's house in Newark, Delaware.

"Pumped the gas, we left. I never knew my puppy got out of the car," Morgan said.

Cameras at the gas station show exactly what happened. After Morgan's son paid for gas, he opened up the van door. That's when Lola jumped out.

Cameras then capture a woman who was inside paying for gas. She comes out and picks up the puppy as a young girl rushes over.

The people who picked up Lola at the station told Action News that they handed the dog over to police once the identity of the true owner was clear.
