Homeless man charged in arson at historic restaurant in Claymont

CLAYMONT, Del. - September 19, 2013

The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office has also charged 43-year-old Shawn L. Gibson with attempted murder in the Aug. 12 fire.

He is being held on $76,000 cash bail.

Officials say Gibson was arrested Tuesday night at Dover Downs by officers with the Division of Gaming Enforcement for theft.

The fire was in the building that once housed the Coach House Restaurant.

Built in 1899, it had more recently been home to The Bourbon Street Grill, but the building closed last year.
