The accident happened at 4:24 p.m. in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy located at 2305 Glassboro Crosskeys Road.
According to police, 56-year-old Jimmy D Manzano of Camden was walking west through the parking lot when he was struck.
18-year-old Courtney M Mirrione of Clayton was behind the wheel of the 2008 Honda Civic. She brought the vehicle to an immediate stop following the initial impact.
Investigators say Mirrione was traveling south through the parking lot, and it was when she turned left toward the parking lot exit that she struck Manzone.
Police say Manzone fell forward onto the hood of the car before rolling off the driver's side and onto the asphalt, hitting his head on the ground.
Manzano sustained a serious head injury in the incident and was flown by helicopter to Cooper Trauma Center in Camden.
The incident remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
