This Saturday, October, 19, the Sixers will be holding an open practice at the Palestra, where fans can get up close and personal with the team. Which will also be a great way for the fans to learn the names of the players they'll be watching this season. Admission is free. Doors open at 10, all the practie starts at 11.

4. FREE STUDIO TOURS
On October 19 and 20, Philadelphia Open Studio Tours, or POST, returns for the final weekend of its two-weekend event.
On Saturday and Sunday, explore the workspaces of artists in neighborhoods west of Broad Street — Center City West, Chestnut Hill, Mount Airy, Fairmount, Francisville, Germantown, Manayunk, Roxborough, East Falls and West Philadelphia. Get one-of-a-kind tours of the artist's space and learn about the type of art that they create.

5. FREE FRANKLIN INSTITUTE
This coming Wednesday is Target Community Night at the Franklin Institute. Registration will take place on the First Floor beginning at 5:00PM. Please enter The Franklin Institute through the Business Entrance located to the right of the main stairs on 20th Street and proceed to Lunchroom A. Admission is free but registration is required.
6. GLOW FOR THE CURE
