The remains have been identified as that of 26-year-old Reginald Glover of Philadelphia.
Glover's body was found by passing joggers shortly before 5:00 p.m. near the intersection of Merion Avenue and Narberth Avenue in Haddonfield.
Firefighters and police spent several hours trying to remove the body from the marsh-like terrain of Pennypacker Park. They say the man appeared to have been dead for several days.
Ten to eleven stab wounds found on the body led detectives to initially think the death was suspicious. However, an autopsy performed Tuesday morning revealed the stab wounds had been treated and sutured and are not believed to have contributed to his death.
Investigators later spoke with Glover's family who informed them that the stab wounds were not a result of foul play and had been treated in September.
Toxicology results are pending, but so far, the cause of death has not been determined.
