The fire broke out around 4:00 a.m. on the 1800 block of Tusculum Street.
Firefighters arrived to flames showing in the kitchen area.
The blaze was placed under control within fifteen minutes.
One person suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Fire Marshal was called to the scene to determine the cause.
