Ambulance strikes car, 2 injured in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del.- November 12, 2013

The accident happened just before 8:30 a.m. at 2nd and Broom Street.

Action News was told the ambulance was responding to a call when it struck a vehicle broadside in the intersection.

There were two people in the car and they suffered minor injuries, officials say.

Both were taken to St. Francis Hospital for evaluation.

Police say there was no patient inside the ambulance.

The intersection was closed while police investigated and cleared the scene.
