School van rear-ended in Gloucester County

A van transporting students was rear-ended by another vehicle, leaving several people injured in Woolwich, Gloucester County.

The accident happened around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday on the 1600 block of Swedesboro Road (Route 322).

When paramedics arrived they found that there were three students in the van.

According to Walt's Bus Service of Pedricktown, New, one of their vans contracted to transport school students was involved in the accident.

Chopper 6 was over the scene where victims could be seen being placed on gurneys and put into awaiting ambulances. The severity of the injuries sustained are unknown at this time.

Also unknown is if the injured were students.

Police are investigating.
