Things looking up in D.C.

WASHINGTON (AP) - November 19, 2013

The nation's capital has a height limit on buildings that's more than a century old.

That means there are no skyscrapers in Washington like many other major cities.

A planning commission is set to recommend that Congress ease the restrictions.

But D-C won't look like Manhattan.

The report advises the height limit remain in place for downtown and the National Mall area, where many of the monuments are located.
