Armed robber holds up Fishtown restaurant

Police say an armed robber held up a Fishtown restaurant early Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred around just after 3:30 a.m. at the Loco Pez restaurant on the 2400 block of East Norris Street.

According to police, a masked man with a sawed off gun approached two employees and two customers as they were leaving the building.

He forced the victims back inside and allegedly robbed one customer of $70 and stole $1000 from the restaurant.

The suspect fled the scene and no one was hurt.

Police say the robbery was caught on surveillance video.

They are searching for the bandit.
