Video captures Manayunk market break-in

Philadelphia police are hoping someone recognizes the man caught on surveillance as he burglarized the Palm Tree Market in Manayunk.

At 4:56 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, the suspect was captured on video breaking the front door glass to gain entry to market located along the 4300 block of Cresson Street.

Investigators say it took the man approximately 45 minutes to break the glass door using a slingshot.

The suspect took Dutch Master Cigars and $120 in loose change before he fled, but police say he left behind two walkie talkies.

The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, baggy blue jeans with a thick black belt.
