A Cheltenham middle school with a rampant mold problem is not going to be salvaged.

Cedarbrook Middle School parents learned about a plan Monday night to build an entirely new school.

In the meantime, the plan involves students taking classes at four alternate sites:

  • Cheltenham High School
  • Elkins Park School
  • Cheltenham Elementary School
  • Gratz College (Melrose Park)

12 Cedarbrook classrooms have been closed off because of mold since July.

Middle schoolers should find out where they are headed next by mid-January.
