Armed thief steals safe, Kindle from 22-year-old inside home

The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for a robbery/home invasion.

The incident happened around 10:55 a.m. Monday on the 1500 block of West Stiles Street in North Philadelphia.

Police say a 22-year-old male was asleep in the living room when an unknown male entered his home pointing a handgun at his head demanding money.

The 22-year-old then led the suspect upstairs where the suspect took the victim's safe and a Kindle Fire.

The suspect then told the victim not to move while he went downstairs taking a Toshiba laptop before fleeing.

The suspect fled in a silver or gray Buick Le Sabre and was last seen east on Stiles Street.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6'1, with a solid build, clean shaven, and was wearing a blue colored bubble coat.
