51-year-old Alan Durkin, from the 1300 block of North Black Horse Pike in Blackwood, was found semiconscious and bleeding from both legs after being hit along the Black Horse Pike at Church Street at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say Gloucester Township police officers administered first aid until medics arrived and took Durkin to Cooper University Hospital to be treated for severe leg injuries and upper body injuries.
He was listed in stable condition Thursday morning.
Police say the driver, 21-year-old Carolyn Caprino of the 200 block of Poplar Terrace in Somerdale, stopped after the accident and remained at the scene. She was not injured.
The intersection was closed for about two hours as police investigated.
