NJ gas station attendant stabbed in robbery

WOODLYNNE, N.J. (AP) - December 27, 2013

Police were called to the Citgo Gas Station on Mt. Ephraim and Ferry Avenue in Woodlynne around 1:00 p.m. after reports of a robbery.

Authorities say 18-year-old attendant Rukman Sodi was stabbed in the back after refusing to hand over money to the suspect.

He was taken to Cooper Medical Center where he was treated and released.

Officials say the suspect is a white man in his early 20s about 5-foot-8, with a medium build. He was wearing an orange jacket, black pants and white ski mask and drove off in a gray Mazda 8 with tinted windows.

Police are checking the area for surveillance video.
