It happened around 5:45 Friday evening along the 200 block of North Watts Street.
Authorities say the driver, for reasons unknown, hit the gas on the vehicle and drove through the garage door.
The impact of the crash took out part of the wall.
One person was taken to Hahnemann Hospital for treatment. No word on their condition.
L&I officials have been called to the scene to access the building damage.
