Around 6:30 Friday night, police were called to Methodist Hospital for the report of a 19-year-old female shooting victim.
Authorities learned that a tow truck driver picked up the woman at 15th and Ritner streets.
Police searched the area but have not been able to yet find the scene of the shooting.
Meanwhile the victim will be transferred to Thomas Jefferson Hospital for treatment.
The shooting remains under investigation.
