Woman killed in crash with NJ Transit bus on icy Pine Hill road

PINE HILL, N.J. - January 10, 2014

The name of the woman has not been released, but the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said she was a 29-year-old who lived in Lindenwold.

Family members told Action News the victim was originally from El Salvador.

A passenger in the car was seriously injured.

The prosecutor's office said the victim's GMC Envoy was heading south on West Branch Road and apparently spun out on the ice around 7 a.m.

The SUV was then hit by the NJ Transit bus heading in the opposite direction.

The prosecutor's office said the ice also prevent the bus from stopping in time.

The 20 passengers on the bus, and the driver, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
