Too cold for the Polar Bear Plunge.
Special Olympics of Maryland is rescheduling its annual winter dip in the Chesapeake Bay.
Organizers say it wasn't safe for the swim because of high winds and bone-chilling cold.
More than 7,000 people had signed up for the event set for last Saturday.
The fundraiser is rescheduled for March 8.
A spokesman for Special Olympics says it's the first time the Polar Bear Plunge has been postponed because of weather.
