Store owes customers $7M after Super Bowl bet

The owner of gallery furniture promised that if Seattle won, customers who spent $6,000 or more in the two weeks leading up to the game would get a full refund. Lots of people jumped at the offer and it cost the store a cool $7 million.

Amazingly, the store's owner doesn't seem to mind, even though he didn't buy insurance as a hedge against losing that bet.

"Trying to create customers for life, make the store relevant and fun. It was a great, fun promotion for everybody. The customers won and that's what it's all about," Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale said.

The owner says his accountant called him crazy, but he doesn't care.

The store is promising to refund every cent by February 17.
