New Castle County Police have arrested a man and five juveniles in connection with a home invasion.

It happened in the unit block of South Rodney Drive in Wilmington just before 2:00 a.m. Thursday.

20-year-old Fernando Sierra was arrested along with five other suspects, ranging in ages of 14 to 17-years-old, on Friday.

Police say the victims awakened to find one of the suspects standing at the foot of the stairs with what appeared to be a weapon, and several other suspects standing in front of his residence.

The suspects fled on foot when the homeowner announced he was calling the police.

Police say fresh footprints in the snow led them to a residence where detectives were able to track down the suspects along with evidence related to the home invasion.

Sierra and all five teens face home invasion charges, attempted robbery and related offenses.

Sierra is being held on $162,000 bail. The other five teens were arraigned and are being held on $198,000 bail.
