Police: Girl chased in Norristown abduction attempt

Police are looking for two suspects following an attempted child abduction on Friday morning in Norristown, Pa.

The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. near Eisenhower Middle School.

Police say two men in a white work van with a ladder rack and no windows followed the child into the parking lot of Latshaw Field off Sterigere Street.

A passenger in the van got out and chased the girl on foot, police said.

The girl got away.

The driver of the van was described as a white man wearing a tan or brown coat.

The passenger was described as a white man with a beard wearing a black knit winter cap, a gray jacket and dark-colored sweat pants.

If you see anyone fitting these descriptions, police urge you to call 911 right away.
