It was shortly after noon Friday that a gun was discharged in the lobby of Cherry Hill One, a high-rise office building which is located on the property of the Cherry Hill Mall.
Witnesses told police that a man with a small handgun was seen getting into a car and leaving the area.
Police stopped a vehicle matching the description a man was taken into custody.
Police say the gun discharge was accidental.
No one was injured.
