The Bucks County Courier Times said 34-year-old Kristopher Colello and 31-year-old Dana Kutschera of Levittown were charged March 21 with criminal conspiracy to transport the drug into the county prison.
Court documents allege Kutschera sent drug-laden greeting cards three times to Colello for him to sell in September and October. Colello was jailed in a separate drug case.
Investigators were tipped off to the deliveries when workers noticed the greeting card envelopes were stained and damp. Court records state they tested positive for the drug methadone.
Methadone is used to treat heroin and morphine addiction.
It couldn't be determined if Colello and Kutschera had lawyers.
