Philadelphia Police search for suspect in fatal hit and run

Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a hit and run driver who fatally struck a pedestrian on I-95 near Philadelphia International Airport Saturday.

The incident happened along Northbound I-95 just inside the Philadelphia city limits just after 9:00 p.m. Friday.

State Police say a 61-year-old man was trying to walk back to the airport when he crossed I-95 and was hit in the northbound left lane.

The man, whose name is not being released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they found debris, possibly from a Chrysler vehicle, at the accident scene.

Black front end molding and what appears to be a black license plate with the word GARMAN was also found at the scene.
