Upper Merion police found a body in a wooded area east of Mancill Mill Road around 2:00 p.m.
Police say the clothing was consistent with what Cappello was last seen wearing. She went missing in September last year from her home on Valley Forge Circle.
The remains were discovered about half a mile from her home.
Investigators are waiting for the results of an autopsy.
