The accident happened around 1:40 a.m. on the 7100 block of Old York Road.
A witness told Action News that a vehicle was attempting to make a turn when it was struck broadside by a taxi cab.
Police say both drivers were taken to Einstein Medical Center.
The cab driver, believed to be in his 40s, suffered head, back and chest injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, a man in his 30s, was given CPR enroute to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
So far, no charges have been filed. The accident is under investigation.
