Delaware State Police say Andrew Rottmann of Milton was driving south on Cedar Creek Road at a high speed early Sunday about 2:25 a.m. Police say he lost control of the vehicle at a curve in the road and then struck a utility pole.
Rottmann was pronounced dead at the scene. No other cars were involved in the crash.
Police say Rottmann was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Cedar Creek Road was closed for about three hours while police investigated and wreckage was cleared.
