FBI and Philadelphia police investigators said Friday that civilian police dispatcher Dorian Parsley took cash bribes of $100 to $200 a week from three tow truck operators.
Federal prosecutor Jennifer Chun Barry said Parsley circumvented the rotational tow program by texting locations of accidents or abandoned cars to the operators who paid bribes.
Police say Parsley is being suspended with intent to dismiss.
The three tow truck operators are also facing charges.
Attorneys for Parsley and other defendants say they plan to plead not guilty.
