The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. at Frankford Avenue near Clearfield Street.
According to police, the impact of the crash sent the woman believed to be in her 40's flying into the windshield.
The windshield shattered and she rolled across the car onto the street.
She was rushed to Temple University Hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Police say the driver stopped and they are investigating the accident.
