David A. Christian died in the wreck at 7:26 p.m. on Sunset Lake Road south of Dayett Mill Road in Newark.
Police say that, for an unknown reason, Christian's pickup truck crossed over the double yellow line and into the path of another pickup truck.
Police say Christian was not properly restrained and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other pickup truck, 52-year -old Jeffrey Grayson of Newark, was properly restrained, police said.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to investigators, alcohol is suspected as a factor in this crash.
