Bill Cosby's retrial to start on April 2, 2018

The retrial for entertainer Bill Cosby on sexual assault charges will begin on April 2nd of next year.

The trial date, set by Montgomery County Judge Steven T. O'Neill, was announced Friday.

The retrial will take place at the Montgomery Courthouse in Norristown, the same location as the first trial.

Cosby, 80, is charged with drugging and molesting Andrea Constand, a former employee of Temple University's women's basketball program, back in 2004.

He has said the sexual encounter was consensual.

Cosby's first trial ended in a hung jury in June, setting the stage for a retrial.
