Body of 12-year-old recovered from Burlington Township lake

BURLINGTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- Authorities searched a Burlington Township lake Thursday afternoon, looking for a boy who fell in the water while fishing with friends.

Officials said the boy went under the water in Sylvan Lake and never reemerged.

Rescue crews spent the better part of the afternoon searching the lake.

Officials said just before 8:30 p.m. a body was recovered from the water.
