BERLIN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Power was knocked out in a South Jersey community, after a car crashed into a utility pole.

The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Saturday on the White Horse Pike near Egg Harbor Road in Berlin, Camden County.

Police say the car slammed into a utility pole and brought down some wires, blocking the road.

The driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Utility crews were brought in to make repairs to the pole, and to restore power.
