Girls without dates turned away from dance

A trio of girls were turned away from the big school dance in Utah.

They bought dresses and shoes, had their hair and makeup done, and purchased tickets.

They were all dolled up, but they were turned away at the door.

Why?

Because it was a sweetheart dance on Valentine's Day.

The three girls weren't asked to go by any boys. Since they didn't have dates, they went together as friends.

The girls did get a refund, but say they were upset they missed out and want the rules to change.
