New Castle County Police Department introduces its newest member, Nikko

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- The New Castle County Police Department introduced its newest member, Nikko, the facility assistance dog.

Nikko will serve as a goodwill ambassador at community service events.

He will also help calm and comfort witnesses, crime victims and anyone who may be in need.

Nikko joined the department through a nonprofit organization called Canine Companions for Independence
